LSSSDC Signs MoU with MAHAJYOTI for Skill Development Training in Maharashtra

Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) has signed MOU with Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (MAHAJYOTI), Government of Maharashtra on 29th August 2024. The collaboration is a part of the Government of Maharashtra’s Annual Action Plan 2024–25 sanctioned by the Government of Maharashtra under Social Justice and Special Assistance Department.

The Govt of Maharashtra has formed Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research & Training Institute (Mahajyoti) for educational, economic, and social development of the all Other Backward Classes, Deprived Castes, Nomadic, Denotified Tribes and Special Backward Classes communities in Maharashtra and has taken the decisions by Govt GR Date 08.08.2019(as per Companies Act 2013 Section 8).

In this partnership, LSSSDC will introduce skill training programs which are customized to suit the skill development needs of youth belonging to Non-Creamy Layer Other Backward Class (OBC), Special Backward Class (SBC) and Vimukt Jati-Nomadic Tribe’s (VJ-NT) who is domicile of Maharashtra. The training would be as per National Occupational Standards (NOS) and National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) which for quality training and assessment leading to certification.

  • 2. Assistant - Secondary & Tertiary Packaging (LFS/Q0217)
  • 2. Lab Technician – Research and Quality Control (LFS/Q0509)
  • 2. Assistant – Maintenance (Pharma/Biologics/Medical Device Facility) (LFS/Q0801)
  • 2. Medical Sales Representative (LFS/Q0401)
