Introduction
IndiaSkills 2026–27 is the flagship skill competition of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, aimed at identifying and nurturing India's finest skilled talent across diverse sectors. The competition provides a platform for young professionals to demonstrate their technical competencies while promoting excellence and benchmarking skills against international standards.
The Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) has been appointed as the Skill Owner and Nodal Body for the Chemical Laboratory Technology skill, playing a key role in strengthening youth skills, promoting laboratory safety practices, and fostering innovation in laboratory environments.
Selected competitors undergo advanced training and mentorship to represent India at prestigious international competitions such as the WorldSkills Competition (WSC) and the WorldSkills Asia Competition (WSAC).
Competition Pathway
Each stage narrows the field and raises the standard. Competitors move forward only by clearing the stage before it.
Register on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) and choose Chemical Laboratory Technology Skill. Progress through the District, State/Track 2 and regional competitions to qualify for the IndiaSkills National Competition.
Receive structured technical training, guidance and mentorship at every stage of the competition, with preparation aligned to WorldSkills technical standards, assessment criteria, competition requirements and laboratory safety practices.
The winner of the IndiaSkills National Competition in Chemical Laboratory Technology will represent India at the WorldSkills Competition 2028, subject to the applicable selection and eligibility criteria.
