Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) signed an agreement with Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) on 14th October 2024 for the execution of skill development training under the PMKUVA scheme for the year 2024-25. This collaboration is geared towards training the life-science sector's futuristic job roles and empowering the youth throughout Maharashtra.
In September 2015, the “Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya and Entrepreneurship Development Campaign” was launched with the objective of achieving the vision of a “Skilled Maharashtra – Employed Maharashtra.” This scheme provides skill development training to persons from the age of 15 to 45 years, and helps them get employable or self-employable. It is 100% funded by the State Government.
The training rollout is actively underway across major 23 districts including Nagpur, Pune, Nashik, Latur, Mumbai, and others. Training activities are being executed through accredited training partners, with ongoing assessment, certification and placement activities will be executed as per MSSDS and PMKUVA guidelines.
"This collaboration reinforces Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) dedication to building a future-ready workforce for the life sciences sector while advancing Maharashtra’s socio-economic development through impactful skill training initiatives."
